Note: Tickets to the Conference Gala Dinner are not included in any registration – tickets can be purchased separately.
Early Bird Rate
To receive the early bird rate your registration and accompanying payment must be received or be post-marked on or before 5.00pm Wednesday, 27 July 2011.
Developing Nations: Discounted Registrations
The Rhizosphere 3 International Conference Organising Committee is pleased to announce that financial assistance will be provided to citizens of developing nations who wish to attend the Rhizosphere 3 International Conference. This initiative has been made possible by funding from the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR); allowing for up to 37 registrants from developing nations to receive $400 off their Conference registration fee.
Eligibility
The discounted rate will be made available to the first 37 individuals who are approved by the Local Organising Committee, register and pay for the Conference. A copy of the registrant’s current passport and student identification (where applicable), must accompany all registrations in order to be processed. For a list of those countries that qualify as developing nations, please visit the website of the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) www.ausaid.gov.au/ngos/devel_list.cfm.
Application for Financial Assistance
The final decisions on recipients of financial assistance rest with the Conference Local Committee Chair. All individuals who wish to receive financial assistance must submit an application with the following details:
- Full Name
- Country of Origin (Please provide a scanned colour copy of your current passport)
- Institution/Department/Employer
- Brief description of current research being undertaken (not more than 100 words)
- If you would like to register as a student, please provide a copy of your current student ID or a letter confirming your full-time student status. The letter must be on your education provider’s letterhead and must include an official dated stamp not more than 4 weeks old (from the date of your application)
- Brief description of how attending the Rhizosphere 3 International Conference will benefit you/your research (not more than 100 words)
Approved applicants will have 3 weeks to register and pay for the Conference, after which time, financial assistance will be cancelled and allocated to the next qualifying applicant.

Registration Cancellations and Amendments
Registrationand/or accommodation cancellations and amendments cannot be accepted over thetelephone. Alterations and cancellations must be sent in writing to theConference Organiser, International Conferences & Events (ICE) Pty Ltd:

Registration cancellations received up to 25 August 2011 will receive a full refund, less $150.00 administration fee. Registration cancellations received between 26 August 2011 and 11 September 2011 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given for registration cancellations received after 11 September 2011. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person before 11 September 2011 without receiving any extra cost penalty. Amendments and transfers made after 11 September 2011 will incur an AU$20.00 transfer fee.
Accommodation cancellations less than 30 days prior will be charged by the hotel according to their cancellation conditions.
International Conferences & Events Pty Ltd reserves the right to deny entry and/or terminate the registration of any person who demonstrates behaviour that International Conferences & Events Pty Ltd deems to be inappropriate and/or a risk to others.
All registrations received by International Conferences & Events Pty Ltd will not be considered as confirmed unless payment has been received and processed by International Conference & Events Pty Ltd.
Non-payment or non-attendance will be taken as a cancellation on the day of the event and will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Liability / Insurance
In the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, the Rhizosphere 3 International Conference, the University of Western Australia and International Conferences & Events Pty Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by delegates. Nor can the Rhizosphere 3 International Conference, the University of Western Australia and International Conference & Events Pty Ltd take responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during the conference or associated activities. Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate.
