Special Issue of Plant and Soil
Guest Editors: Mark Tibbett, Megan Ryan, Michael Kertesz

In order to capture the state-of-the-art rhizosphere research presented at the Rhizosphere 3 International Conference, selected presenters of oral papers will be invited to submit a full journal paper according to the Instructions for Authors of Plant and Soil.

The guest editors will invite papers to be submitted selected from the abstracts of oral submissions only to the Rhizosphere 3 International Conference. Authors who wish to have their abstracts considered for publication must indicate this when submitting their abstracts.

Abstracts submitted for the Special Issue must be offered as oral papers at the Conference and related to the Conference topics. All manuscripts will undergo full peer review to the usual high standards of Plant and Soil.

Our intention is that the Special Issue of Plant and Soil will form a current and important compendium of work on the topic of the rhizosphere.

Those authors invited to submit a paper must follow the online submission process outlined below.

The procedure for submission of special issues via Editorial Manager, the online submission and review system for Plant and Soil is as follows:

1. Authors submit their paper through the following website http://plso.edmgr.com/

2. In Step 1 of the online submission procedure, when asked to “choose the article type of your manuscript from the pull-down menu”, authors must choose:
“Special Issue S47 – Rhizosphere 3”.

3. In Step 7, when asked to “Enter Comments” the authors must type the following comments in the box: This manuscript is intended for the special issue “S47 – Rhizosphere 3” guest edited by “Mark Tibbett, Megan Ryan, Michael Kertesz”. Other comments related to the manuscript may be added after the aforementioned paragraph.

4. The Publisher will not be responsible for the omission of manuscripts from the special issue if the above procedures were not followed.

The submission deadline is the last day of the Conference (Friday 30th September).
